My own transformational journey is my inspiration behind my passion to help more women to reach their full potential through fitness. I found out how much can be achieved by focusing on positive, baseline health habits. Also, having self-belief in one area I was seeing results in (fitness) was a catalyst for more of the same in other areas of my life. Belief, plus action can be positively life changing- it is how my fitness journey started. And if you don’t believe it yet- I want to make you see it and experience it for yourself!

My fitness journey has been through many different phases and I hope it continues to do so! Eventually it has returned home to a place where I always found my happiness. I had always been active, in sports like gymnastics, figure skating and horse riding and then later in life in capoeira. Along the way, that passion got lost along with myself, prioritizing other people’s needs above my own, working hard and playing hard became way more ‘important’. The feeling crept up on me one day that I was applying so much effort to create results which I did not benefit from, where were my rewards? What could I show for my time and effort? I wanted to see something tangible now while doing something for my future-self.
I thought I was fit and healthy so I didn’t know I would find answers here. Somehow, my workout regime was not working. I did squats, I did cardio and an occasional circuit class. I kept waiting for my dream body. And waiting. The gym sessions were balancing out my weekend habits and food blogging hobby. My weeks varied between an abundance of food and drink at all the restaurants to eating like a bird at home and work, it all looked very green and healthy, but for sure was lacking in protein! All of this effort with nothing to show, got very frustrating!
I looked inward, and decided to focus on ME! When I searched for answers it led me to weight training, balanced nutrition and applying consistency in both. In my case, this was found through the decision to prepare for my first fitness competition. This goal had its ups and downs, from learning from mistakes, to discovering the right formula by investing in professional coaching and science-backed road maps to success. This goal, to compete on stage, started out for aesthetic reasons but ended up much more fulfilling. The real enjoyment came from learning and experiencing how diet and exercise affects the body and mind. If you train with me, you learn about yourself along with a bit of theory, this is one of the best parts I can share! Real confidence comes from looking better, feeling better and expanding your knowledge!
I achieved my goal of competing on stage. I won. I competed again, and won. I now compete at pro level, internationally with the WBFF. I have learned a lot on the way and am so glad I made the investment on myself while I had time and inclination to do different and be different. I believe the habits and body I have built will serve me for life. My life now has varying paces between pushing towards ambitious goals and recovery and the whole time, in any circumstance, learning and discovering how to live better, happier healthier and more fulfilled.
